3.0.0 public | 3.0.1 next update

What's new in LensMail.

Familiar Outlook tasks, made for your glasses. A clearer inbox, practical editing, and Speccy along for the moments in between.

Release status: 3.0.0 is available in Even Hub. 3.0.1 is being prepared for submission and is not yet the public release.

LensMail 3.0.1: more room for your way of working

  • A redesigned phone companion with clearer labels, simpler navigation, reachable forms, and a full-width message reader.
  • My LensMail brings saved replies, favorites, categories, search, and an optional new-message signature together.
  • Save frequent contacts locally or optionally connect personal Outlook contacts. Viewing and editing have separate consent choices.
  • Declining contacts leaves email connected. Local contacts are never uploaded automatically.
  • Glasses navigation, reading, Speccy, existing mail sign-in, and the fixed callback stay unchanged.

Read the My LensMail guide, optional contact setup, and updated privacy notes. The following sections describe the already-public 3.0.0 foundation.

  • Up/Down move in both directions; Tap opens or runs the selected item.
  • Overview Tap now opens the full message directly. Preview and triage remain in Hold.
  • The keyboard now uses Up/Down to choose a key and Tap to type. Hold prioritizes tray switching, Done, Backspace, Delete, and Cancel.
  • Hold provides native Back/Home and task shortcuts; double tap retains Even's native exit flow.

A more complete mail client workflow

  • Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Archive, Deleted Items, and nested personal folders.
  • All, Focused, and Other combine with Unread, Flagged, or With Attachments filters.
  • A compact overview expands the selected preview, with a matching selector rectangle and action arrow.
  • Complete, visually paginated reading preserves international text and stops at End of Email.
  • Message Details shows recipients, dates, and attachment names/sizes. Conversation browses related mail.
  • Flag, Complete, Clear Flag, folder moves, applicable read-state actions, and confirmed Delete.

Reply, resume, review

  • Reply, Reply All, Forward, and New Email share a focused editor.
  • Reopen and update the same Outlook draft rather than creating a copy with every save.
  • Local suggested replies, personal phrases, and recent-recipient completion reduce ring typing.
  • The three-tray keyboard includes address shortcuts, case switching, cursor editing, Backspace, Delete, Done, and Cancel.
  • Save to Outlook Drafts remains non-sending.
  • Optional Review & Send rereads the saved message and recipients, then asks separately, with No selected by default.
  • Draft changes are checked before sending; uncertain send attempts are not retried automatically.

Clearer, more personal

Speccy is the original envelope assistant with glasses, expressive arms, and distinct waiting and crumple-and-discard animations. He stays selective so the reader and keyboard remain clear. Native text regions have border clearance without unnecessary miniature scrollbars; the phone companion follows the same task-focused design.

Your Microsoft setup stays put

Connect M365 for Me, administrator approval, organization-specific setup, saved IDs, callback URLs, and delegated permissions are unchanged. No client secret, mailbox backend, or paid AI dependency is added.

Availability and practical limits

LensMail is independent software with Outlook-familiar workflows, not the Microsoft Outlook app. Attachment content, rich formatting, calendars, and tenant administration remain outside this mail-focused app. Phone/Even background policies, Microsoft availability, and organization rules still apply.

Earlier releases

LensMail 2.2 introduced guided Microsoft connection and administrator approval. The 2.1 line established reversible ring navigation, safer End of Email handling, international text, and native waiting motion. Version 3.0 preserves those foundations while adding the redesigned mail and editing workflows above.
